The Cumberland Times News reported in 1934 the following:
An auto-gyro, the latest invention in aeronautics was seen in Cumberland this week. This strange aircraft, declared to be the safest mode of air travel, landing and descending vertically and capable of being made stationary while aloft, will be one of the featured machines at the Cumberland Air Show at Mexico Farms on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week. The auto-gyro, believed to be manufactured by the Kellet Company will be brought here from New York and will make daily flights as part of the program at the local field.”
