As we move into the present age this concluding chapter details the history of past managers and operators at the Cumberland Airport as well as documenting the history of the Potomac Highlands Airport Authority, which has become the governing entity for the Greater Cumberland Regional Airport. Following segments describe the beloved airport ‘buffs’, Cumberland as a blimp stopover point, and a brief review of the airline services provided the Cumberland area over the years. Also included is a summation of the surrounding airfields in this area. These segments affirm the continuing high interest of aviation in the area.
Next is described an indication of past interest by the Cumberland city fathers in aviation and their desire to be of assistance to the flyers into the city. This admiration and support will, hopefully, continue into the future. In conclusion the long range outlook for aviation and air transportation for our area is described.
